Founders find like minds at PDCo.

Pryor Design Company has been hired by Vital Arts Media to build a comprehensive brand identity for their core brand and the products beneath as well. Vital Arts, located on Hebron Hollow Farm, is a center for arts and ideas. Co-founded by Kimerer LaMothe and Geoffrey Gee, Vital Arts exists to support creative work in all facets of media and in every individual. Accomplished authors, dancers and musicians, the founders are truly passionate about the works they create.

"Building an effective, creative brand identity for someone selling socks is one thing. Building an identity for someone that lives and breathes what they create is completely different," said Scott Pryor, founder of Pryor Design Company. "These people believe in their art and their craft in a way that inspires you to push yourself to do better work for them. Partnering with them has been a uniquely rewarding experience for us."

After completing the brand platform for the Vital Arts identity which included logo, tagline, website and other marketing materials, PDCo. then built the brand ID for Plectrumâ„¢, the debut Vital Arts product designed by pianist and composer Geoffrey Gee. Plectrum is a library of virtual acoustic instruments made by plucking, strumming, tapping, scraping and flicking a range of prepared instruments and found objects. Starting with a logo that took the form of an abstract plectrum (a guitar pick), PDCo. then designed marketing pieces and a unique packaging system to support the roll-out.

"Working with Pryor Design was an unqualified pleasure," says Kimerer LaMothe & Geoffrey Gee, Vital Arts Media & Plectrum: A Virtual Instrument. "Three words come to mind to describe the team: Talented. Perceptive. Responsive. They listened to our needs and ideas. They came back with a set of brilliant solutions, each one different, and each one a possible pick. They responded to our suggestions, and we worked our way, in a timely fashion, to a result that is exactly what we hoped for and better than we could imagine! We will hire them again."
